Delvers Drop Forum Game Night
« on: May 21, 2013, 10:02:03 PM »
Not sure if the thread title is really all that good at conveying the idea behind this but I'll try to expand on it here. A few weeks back there was some discussion in the chat bar about doing a multi-player game with the people on the forums. Figured now that school is out for more now would be a good time to see

A) Who all would be interested in doing some multi-player fun with the board members.

B) What games we all have and could potentially do.

C) When would be a good time to do this once the other stuff is hashed out.

I think it goes without saying that I'm on board. I'm more than happy for most any game and am more than willing to buy a game if it's not to terribly expensive.

If we could get everyone into a game of The Ship that would be a great time XD

I guess TF2 falls into the category of something most everybody could play since it's free, granted everyone can run it at a decent speed.

Minecraft or Terraria could be fun and offer enough creative freedom that we could actually make some cool Delver's Drop-related stuff, maybe even to post on the forums!

Plain Sight's another game with a kind of dead community, but it's a legitimately fun and unique multiplayer game, so I'll throw it out there.

I'll keep it to those for now, but yeah, I'd be up to participate in something like this if we could arrange it!

A) Interested!

B) People should bring up which generes they'd like to play, so we can work out some titles. Quady brought up a good selection of everybody's favorites here.

C) Not in the position to suggest any timeframe, well yeah because of timeshift. Only thing I'd like to suggest is starting a bit earlier on evenings (20:00 or 21:00 as opposed to the classic 22:00)

Sounds like it could be fun, depending on how well the chosen game interacts with my laptop.

Don't have it but I'd certainly be down.

I'd really be up for any of these. I generally don't play minecraft in a group but I've done it before and I enjoy the idea of building some Delvers Drop related stuff.

Not a bad idea. I'll get a bigger post later when I have some time off work.

I think a Delver's Drop forum Terraria server would be amazing.  We could drop in and drop out and have group nights.

Who wants to set this up?  I wouldn't even mind paying the monthly fee for a server if someone can recommend something reasonably priced.

I actually wouldn't mind trying Terraria with multiplay; I've only ever done single player and it was bland bland crafty nonsense. Did someone setup a Pixelscopic group on Steam? Or whatever you all want to call it, we (PXS) don't need to usurp the branding on it :)

There's none. We wait for our PXS overlords to allow us to worship them.  :P

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Delvers is up.  Would I be allowed to place the PixelCorp logo as it's profile picture?
