Introduce Yourself
« on: April 17, 2013, 02:37:36 AM »
Hi. I'm excited to be here! I'm a college student at Boston University, majoring in Film/Television. I hope to be a TV writer one day as television is my passion. Video games come a close second and I like to back video games I would like to play. Hence why I backed this game. I'm currently an admin on another forum.

Anyways, you can use this thread to introduce yourself.

Hello. I too, am very excited to be here, and very excited about Delver's Drop!

I am a college student who has not yet declared a major. I am very interested in mindfulness, meditation, writing, and social dynamics. I play violin, piano, and guitar. Sometimes I dabble in Photoshop. I love cats!

I am open to questions from anyone.  :)

Hi. My avatar is very clearly my real picture. :<

Hopefully the game turns out well. I'll definitely be voting for the Templar. That's about all I can think of to say.

Hey Everyone!  I was planning on starting up a thread for introductions, but I see you've beaten me to it!  Nice to meet you all!

I like the previous posters, am a college student studying Pharmacological Chemistry.  In the process of studying for PCAT.  My hobbies include digital design/imaging, photography, cross-country running, and last but most definitely not least gaming.  I am a big fan of rogue-likes and the such - though I guess I never played the old games in the genre.  Started with Shiren -> POWDER (if anyone has heard of it).

Looking forward to Delvers Drop!

Father, played RPGs since Zelda on the NES or Ultima on the C64.

I played so many 2D RPGs. I can't count. Still. I am really excited to see a new game! Although I am quite sure it's be way too fast for me ;)

Looking forward to october or whenever the game will be released.

Good day to you all.

I'm MadJo, 30something from the Netherlands, a full time geek, software tester by trade, forum lurker by night. A Linux user, and a sometime (linux) gamer.
I like photography, and once a week I play music on a small fry radio station.

I backed Delver's drop, because it looked like fun, and it reminded me a lot of the Zelda games I love to play (A Link to the Past and Link's awakening).

Greetings to you all :).

24 and hail from Canada. Delver's Drop was the first game I pledged to not too long after finally deciding to sign up on Kickstarter. The similarities to Zelda drew me in and the artwork looks fantastic.

Looking forward to being able to try the game out early and to decide on which classes to vote for!

Doomspeaker here.
I'm currently studying in the field of Biomedical Engineering. I'm a guy who likes videogames and spends his days drawing/painting whenever he gets the chance. If things go well you can also count on me to jump onto modding of Delver's Drop.

Let's have a good time here guys!

Good morning to you all. Or at least it's morning somewhere in the world.

I'm just an above average Asian geek in college trying to get his degree in Software Engineering or something like that. When I'm not trying to learn random coding languages or suffering through my math classes, I'll be indulging myself in anime/manga, all kinds of Japanese children's shows (tokusatsu, magical girls, and anything else aimed at the younger crowd), visual novels, rhythm/dancing games, fighting games, board games, Magic the Gathering, and whatever random genre of video game that pleases me (usually not FPS however). Other general hobbies that I sometimes dabble when I have the time are magic (as in actual magic with playing cards and such), DJing, and cooking.

I'm also a backer of Cryamore (as a result, of course, I am also on the forums for it), and that game along with Delver's Drop piqued my interest as they are both top-down action games; it's been far too long since I've played a good bird's-eye-view game and I'm excited for both games to satisfy that craving.

As one of the eventual alpha/beta testers, I hope to bring to the table some good feedback regarding the game and help make this game reach the potential it deserves.

Hi all,

Kotaku is responsible for my discovery of this title, watched the video and thought "Where is this game!? I must have it... now!" Never backed a kickstater before this one. Looks completely worth it.

As it seems most other people are, I too am a collage student.  I'm majoring in english with a minor in joblessness.  I love videogames (duh) but I'm also a hipster movie snob, hack writer, jazz enthusiast, "musician", and asshole foodie.  I learned about Delver's Drop through Giant Bomb (the best gaming website around) and was blown away, I cannot wait to see what else it has in store.

Hello All

I'm a PHD student doing plant biotech, but I think I spend more time playing games than doing my actual research :P. This was my first kickstarter backing, and I can't remember where I actually found this... but I think I'll be glad about it :D

Hello. I'm a 30+ Linux player, and I'm interested in the modding aspects of the game. Do we know yet how the modding is going to work?

Hi all,

I am a father of 1 and soon to be 1 more. I am an avid gamer and I have done alpha and beta tests for other games before... some big, some small.

Have always loved 2d action adventure games and it is really nice to see one in the same vein as Zelda,  instead of another Diablo clone.

Am really excited to play and contribute to D.Drop. This is the first game I have ever backed through kickstarter and it is really exciting.

I am very happy to meet you all!

Hello, I'm a university student in Australia, studying Business, Japanese and Programming. I've been into roguelikes since Shiren the Wanderer but the thing I like the most about roguelikes is the randomized dungeons. which is why I've backed Delvers Drop. Can't wait for the game to come out!
