Between rekindling my childhood obsession with Pokemon and Zelda, this might be a reason to get a 3DS
My thoughts exactly.  This game and the newer Pokemon games would be my only reason to get a 3DS.

At least we won't need a GameBoy Light anymore :P

Heres a video with direct input sound. I'm liking everything except Link's voice. Pretty sure ALTTP Link was like 16, not 12. Same mistake they made on the GBA port of the first game using OOT Young Link's voice.

Excited to see a new Zelda and not a remake (MM will have to wait another day). I was also happy to hear that the Oracle games will be coming to the eShop.

The shifting into walls mechanic looks to be refreshing and make for interesting puzzles and even boss battles. Not completely sold on the art style 100% though as there just seems something "off" about it.

This is an excellent share!  I am so glad to know that it will be using the controller buttons instead of touch screen!

The game looks alot better in motion then in screenshots (as with most 3DS games). Also dem remixs are truly a treat for the ears.

2013DS indeed, etc.

Yeah, the arrangement of that dungeon theme was awesome. Someone compiled screens from the announcement video to show, if you didn't already notice, that the house/tree area Link is in is the twin lumberjack house area to the right of the Lost Woods. I'm wondering if this game takes place on just the same SNES Hyrule map redone or if they expanded for new areas/beyond Hyrule. I also hope this game will make newer fans go back and play the first ALTTP.

My brother and I were chatting about this as well yesterday.  We have a theory that you may go back through some of the same temples, but ultimately, much of the map will be expanded.

Zelda loves to reuse it's map (even windwaker does so!). They need to expand if they use the basic layout, as ALttP had two overworlds to compensate.
ALttP aged very well, newer players should have no problems with it at all.

I actually would like to see a light and dark world scenario in this game.  Or at least an alternate world like Termina.

Guess IGN is liking it:

I'm sure the game will be great and am personally looking forward to it, but a lot could change between now and release. The trailer also looked pretty good with 3D if you download it off the e-Shop, but I very rarely use the 3D.
