Types of enemies you would like to see?
« on: April 19, 2013, 09:43:17 AM »
Just that simple, what kind of enemies (mobs) do you want to see in-game?

I am hoping to see some kind of lizard enemies and something that is a little bit crazy like the Beastmen in Warhammer.

how about a clone version of your self that mirrors you moves. having scaled stats i.e. lvl 15 (in the drop) = 10% of your stats lvl 25 = 15% of your stats lvl 50 25% ect.

Could be a boss character.

Definitely would love a wide range of enemy!  I personally would also like to see some kind of reptilian foes as well as some crazy guys wearing mysterious masks and I think enemies of elemental proportions are always a necessity!

Masked enemies are always good, especially when you knock off the mask at the end of the bout.  that also makes me think of having layers of armor, which would be incredibly cool to knock off.

I think we can always use a couple of joke enemies to lighten the mood during our difficult journey. Maybe a big-gutted enemy who shambles around slowly until he sees you, then flips out in excitement and dashes at you at top speeds. If he hits you he sends you flying back, potentially into a pit, but if he misses he sails off into a wall, flattening out and exploding, or goes tumbling down into a bottomless pit. He'd be dangerous as all hell, but you wouldn't be able to help but laugh whether you got killed by him or dodged in time to see him smack face-first into a wall.

Sounds like the Thousand Pounder from Diablo 3.

I hope they include some enemy the drops from the ceiling (think of wall masters from Zelda)

The first time I ran into those guys (at least in OoT my first Zelda game) they scared me senseless and had a hard time sleeping for a few nights!

You see these! *holds toes up next to the screen* I approve of whatever is needed to keep me on these.

Bringing in the guild stuff, what about opposing guild saboteurs? You'll be running around as a Templar, then learn first hand why those ladies call themselves the "Hangedmen." ;D

This would be great. Any mob that gets at you from an angel you're not expecting or acts in ways the typical horde works just to mess you up is a great thing.

I hope we have some kind of necromancer or summoner enemies.  Those always are interesting, even if a bit annoying en masse.

I like the idea of the lumbering enemy that charges you and keeps going if he misses.

I also think a turtle enemy that pulls in to his shell and becomes a physics object could be fun to play with.  (And yay, mario reference.)

Basically, I want some classic monsters, and some off the wall unique monsters that utilize the physics, lore, or art direction.  From a top-down view with big heads, a monster where the head and body split and attack separately could be a good surprise.  A monster that does little to no damage, but bounces you around or grapples on to you and slows you down.  Murk creatures and clockwork room changers.  All that fun stuff.

I like this idea!  I think it would be cool and fun to have certain enemies that would be used as physic tools and tools to solve puzzles.
