ALPHA INFORMATION (Read Me)

BUILD ACCESS
You should be able to download the most current Delver's Drop build from within your Humble Library. If you haven't redeemed your Delver's Drop code yet, please go to the resender and enter in the preferred email address we have on file. We will update this thread each time a new build goes out; please keep in my mind that we do not know the general turn around time from when we submit a new build to when it is available to you but hopefully this will become apparent after the first couple of builds.


INSTALLING THE GAME

The PC build comes in the form of an installer, which will remove previous versions of the game from your machine and allow you to choose the installation directory. You can also uninstall the game at any time if you need to.


The OSX build comes in the form of a DMG, which can be extracted to the location of your choice.


BUGS
There are likely to be tons of bugs, glitches, and other fun errors in these early builds. It would be of great help to us if you could post any bugs you find in the Bug Board. There is a "Bug Format" post which also outlines a preferred bug submission format as well.


FEEDBACK
Non-bug/non-technical feedback is also very much desired and appreciated. To make our lives easier, we have created a Feedback Board just for this purpose. Any questions, thoughts, or comments on design and gameplay related things should go here.


GENERAL DISCUSSION
Any other general discussion that isn't bug-related or feedback directed at us can go in the appropriate thread for whichever build you are playing.

is it available right now or not? lol
my humble store says it's not available yet, but i'm not so sure i didn't bugger something up lol.

Idem Ditto. I'm refreshing the humble story every couple of minutes to; I'm sure they are quite happy with that ;)

I do look forward to it a lot. Can't wait to get my hands on the alpha!

Oh yes, I'm quite certain it will to. However, these emails often arrive minutes or even tens of minutes after the actual publication. Those are precious minutes I cannot spare, good sir.

We haven't submitted yet unfortunately and we're going to miss today's submission deadline. RAAAAAAAAAAGEEEEEEEEEEE


But we went ahead and sent in the PAX East build so you all could have something to play this weekend. We never really meant for that build to be sent out in the wilds, but we figured it was the least we could do with our constant making you wait and wait. The Kickstarter update with all of this information should be out any second now.

So that's why this build felt so familiar, I played it at PAX East :D still good fun to play, already got as far as floor 20 before I died (beat my PAX record by 8 )

Now I wasn't sure if this was a bug or not but I wasn't able to get my Logitech controller working with that build. I thought this may have been because it was ported to Xbox 360 for the demo and that's the only controller it could support. Is there going to be controller support for the Alpha build coming out tomorrow? And will it be able to register all controllers, not just Xbox 360?

Loving that we get to play the pre-alpha demo while we wait, I'm actually kind of glad for the delay, because this is an awesome consolation prize XD Not to say I'm not eagerly awaiting the Alpha's eventual release, but it's great to be able to play the build that I had my first hands-on experience with at PAX East. I can finally redeem my silly pitfall deaths with predictable ghost deaths! Huzzah!

It's no problem guys.  It happens, but thanks for giving us this PAX Demo!  It's better than nothing and appreciated!

I mis-read the post, didn't realize it was missed for the entire weekend, my fault. But hey, what can you do? If you guys need to fix a couple things to make sure we can give you valid feedback, by all means do it. You guys want the valid feedback just as much as we want a working (not necessarily completely bug-free) alpha. Can't wait to see what it's like!

My question still remains though, will there be USB controller support with the 0.30 build? Or will I have to stick to the keyboard? I'm fine with either, I've just always played better with a controller. Not a priority right now, I'm just wondering.
