Disclaimer: You should only attempt to install a Patch if you are comfortable with potentially re-installing the game should something go awry. A bad Patch or a mis-installed Patch can destroy the integrity of your local copy of the game. You should only install a Patch over the exact build version the Patch is for.
1: Download the Patch from link provided
2: Unzip the Patch.
3: Select all of the contents of the Patch and Copy them. You should only copy the contents inside the Patch folder (.exe, assets folder, etc.) and not the Patch folder itself.
4: Navigate into the installation directory for Delver's Drop. The default directory will be "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)". If you see the Delver's Drop executable, a folder called "assets", and various other files you are in the right place.
5: Paste the contents from step 3 directly into the installation directory. You will be asked if you want to merge folders and overwrite files - check the "Do this for all items" box if available and select Yes. You may also get a dialog saying certain files already exist - choose "Copy and Replace" for all files. You may be required to act as an Administrator to enact this change.
6: See below.
On Mac OSX
3: Select and Copy the "Contents" folder in the Patch.
4: Control-Click on your current DelversDrop.app and select "Show Package Contents".
5: Paste the "Contents" over the DelversDrop.app's "Contents" folder. When the Dialog pops up asking if you want to replace the "Contents" folder, select "Merge" instead.
6: Done! If everything went right, you should now be able to load up the game and play with the changes invoked from the Patch.
If the game crashes after adding a Patch or behaves very strangely, something must have gone wrong. You'll need to re-install the base version of the game to get it work again. If you are 100% confident this was not an end-user mishap and that the Patch is flawed, please let me know. Thanks!
