Compilation of questions from the chat & as always, decent work:
A map. We all saw it something, what will be marked on them map or maybe is it just a plain and simple room schematic?
What if I get more buffs than currently show? Where can I see what buffs do? What doe red, green and grey color mean here?
The Counter in the middle of the weapons is uses? The read circle around the katana means hat it's broken?
Is it now that shields are not really grouped like hearts anymore? That could make judging damage done a bit awkward.
Shield items? Keep talking...
The map will be made up of general shapes that match up with the room's shapes. You'll only be able to see a few rooms away from you. Had the Cartographer class been in the game, he would have had some upgrades that allowed him to see more rooms and points of interest. Obviously this isn't the case though.
We'll probably have a max number of buffs a character can have at a given time. You'll likely be able to see the effects of buffs/debuffs in the status/perk screen. Red is negative, green is positive gray is neutral. Generally speaking, some of these status effects could be used to your advantage, whether considered negative or positive—just like any other RPG.
Yes, the counter in the middle is the number of uses. Indeed, the katana is broken.
Shields are now a type of item. You can increase the amount of shield pieces(whether by perks or the type of shield), but if you lose them all—you lose your shield permanently. You'll want to take extra care to replenish your shields now. You'll also need to block to use shield's, if I'm not mistaken. Makes things a bit of a challenge, for sure.
