Discussion of Style:
With any language it is important to note the area in which it comes from. Certain styles may bring about an appearance of barbaric origin or elegance of what we would consider a more civilized society.
By using symbols to represent sound or "letters" we can also create that illusion. For example if I were to use very sharp perfect angles, very geometric shapes and structure the language in a way in which it reads top to bottom then it could very well be a futuristic, alien, or even a intelligent robot language. Whereas a curvy style with a flow in the right direction may imply a language of high class, intelligence, and tends to be used in fantasy worlds.
So I think what would be good for Delvers Drop would be a combination language. Perhaps using styles that show flow to capture an ancient intelligent form mixed with hieroglyphs and sandscript characters. I think this would also go with the tone of the game and have just enough edge to seem legit.
I will try to explore that with the next revision of the previous alphabet I posted. So stay tuned!
