Thanks so much, man!  ;D

I totally don't mind what you do to the pics. Honestly, fanart isn't exactly something that has any right to itself. The resolution isn't so great, but if you can work with it, go for it!  ;)

At any rate. Deltius. Yeah. Thought you'd like this.

Ahhh! This is awesome!!  I would love to see these guys as enemies in-game!

Thought you'd like that.

And thanks all. I'll be getting back to sketching soon. I just have a lot of stuff on my plate at the moment.

Since this was asked for:

Cultist

Guilt associated with: Murk Callers

Weapon: Chainsickle
Special attack: Eldritch Fist

Need to get a job done that even the scoundrels of Hanged Men would refuse? A battle too brutal even for the fierce Sowrds & Scars? That's where the cultist steps in.

These weird individuals will take every job, no matter how low the chances of actual success are. A cultist will gladly attempt to rob the royal treasury or even try to murder his high majesty Gilt King himself as long as there is the possibility to advance their goal. So what is this great goal that requires them to engage in such suicidal actions? Nobody knows.

The only thing that is sure is that this goal has to do with the Drop, and therefore Cultists are hellbent on getting thrown into the Chill. For the cultis any confrontation with they law is welcome.

Cultists in general to no belong to any guild, being far to unstable for society, but they are closely associated with the Murk Callers. This is also where most cultists originally hail from, with many cultist being mages whose research caused them to hear the calls of mysterious entities calling them to the deepths. Other examples include Gladiators that started to hear wispered promises of power after getting a particularly strong hammer to the head or Rogues falling for the voices that manifest around their recently stolen artifacts.

Although very different in origin, individual cultists share appearances and prefered methods of attacking, serving only to further the uncanny stories told. Each cultist is shrouded in a crimson red robe and wears a black stole, wielding a sickle attatched to a chain.

The "chainsickle", as it is commonly called, is swung in front of the user and will cause damage to anything a small distance away from the user. When charged, the sickle will rotate around the user in a full circle. The sickle is excellet for a medium ranged battle but leaves the user helpless in close combat.

There most feared ability of the Cultist is the ability to sometimes channel the force of their otherworlds patrons in the form of a a large hand that will swat away any object in front of the cultist. While some many deemd this as an simple manifestation of uncontrolled magic&mind, this technique even has been seen used by individuals that should not be able to use magic at all.

There you have it. A class idea with small backstory, a class weapon and some quick sketch to show you how it is upposed to look like.

Hopefully this won't count as thread jacking.

Thanks! However, I'm having trouble scaling the image down, like I usually do. For some reason it's not functioning as it usually would.

@Skwiziks

SUCCESS  ;D

@Quady

I was originally going to be bull or goat head, but it ended up being too difficult to render clearly with pencil. I may have to scale up the alloted drawing area another half inch. You'll notice each drawing is getting a bit more detailed, because I allowed more space to work with.

@Doomspeaker

I'm alright. It's really more of your idea anyways.  :)
I'm still having trouble rendering Delver-style hands. (Regular hands too, actually.) For the  most part, I've studied how Ryan Baker structured characters, during the early stages. I know I'm still off a bit, especially at the body length. (It's a bit too long to be top-down) However, what I've discovered is that the proportions are divided in three loosely-folllowed sections.

However, I'm re-examining how the sprites look, currently. It may in fact be 2:3:1 now.
