I just recently started playing Dust an Elysian Tail.  I haven't even heard of it before but came across it on Steam and it looked interesting so I gave it a go.  I must say it's actually really enjoyable!  The levels are beautiful and the combat is pretty sick as well.  It's definitely unique and has a lot of charm with it's anthropomorphic characters.  I'm only a few hours in but I definitely recommend it!

The overall look of Dust (from what little I've seen) reminds me pretty heavily of Vanillaware's titles; stuff like Odin Sphere, Muramasa: The Demon Blade and the upcoming Dragon's Crown. Definitely a cool-looking game, I might have to try it out sometime. If you end up looking for a similar experience once your done with Dust, I'd definitely recommend giving some of Vanillaware's stuff a look. I personally didn't play too far into Odin's Sphere, and I never actually played Muramasa, but it's clear to see that there's an almost ridiculous amount of quality in those games, in all aspects.

Ohh?  I haven't played any of those either. I may have to give them a shot!

Odinsphere was a lot of fun, the art was great and I agree Dust: Ana Elysian Tale really looks close to it, been meaning to pick it up. Odinsphere was hard as hell though.

Wasn't there the rumor that Odin Sphere was one hell of a budget buster because of it's graphics?

I wouldn't be surprised, they've got a visual style I haven't ever seen any other game do. Extremely smooth and elaborate artwork. Only problem from what I've heard is that during the really busy, enemy-heavy battles, the game's prone to some slowdown.

Animal Crossing New Leaf sooo good.

Also going to start PxZ... soonish, but might just wait for SMTIV.

If you have a backwards compatible PS3 and the disc, the slowdown was gone.  Not sure how the download handles.

Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep

It is fun!  The usual humor is present and executed in novel ways, all while woven into a story that is both entertaining and poignant.

I wish they'd make a straight fantasy version of Boarderlands...I'd eat that up in a second.

Currently trying to beat Cave Story the correct way.
UI / UX Design at Pixelscopic. As for now, the forum stuff hates me and keeps demoting me to Early Access instead of a Pixelscopic team member. Don't worry though—I'm a legitimate employee.

Played Metro 2033 again recently, enjoyed it even more my second time around; partially because I knew what I was doing this time and partially because I got the good ending but mostly because it's just a damn solid game with some great atmosphere.

Played through A.R.E.S. as well right after finishing Metro, and I was moderately disappointed with it. Really solid ideas were there, I could feel the inspiration from some great titles, but the execution was just off, which made me sad, it could've been at least a little better in terms of being more fun to play with a couple small tweaks.

Outside of those two, I've just been going back and refreshing my memory on games I've really enjoyed in the past year or two. Hotline Miami and Binding of Isaac are my the most recent of the bunch. Really excited for Hotline Miami 2 and BoI is sort of giving me my dungeon crawling fix before the DDrop Alpha, so overall it's been a good time.

I swear someone announced something like that recently.....

Found it!  At least the game I was thinking of.

"Lords of the Fallen is Dark Souls meets Borderlands"

Since when did Dark Souls become the sole representative of 3rd person medival fantasy games?

Back to topic: Rogue Legacy. That game is very addictive. It gives of a GhostsnGhouls vibe, but they also were kind enough to includenpuzzle rooms.
